Urban development projects in Nigeria are due to receive funding from the World Bank. The USD145 million loan will be used to construct and rehabilitate vital infrastructure such as roads, flood control structures, electricity networks, and public toilets, among others. The project will benefit the states of Nasarawa, Ogun, Ondo, Jigawa, Bauchi, Edo, Ebonyi and Akwa Ibom. Joe Gadek of the World Bank called for proper maintenance by these communities of the facilities.
