Obama Fields Nominee for Senior USAID Post

    U.S. President Barack Obama has nominated Paige Alexander as assistant administrator for Europe and Eurasia at the U.S. Agency for International Development.

    Alexander, whose nomination has been sent Sept. 27 to the Senate, is currently the senior vice president at IREX, an international nonprofit development organization that supports educators, journalists and community leaders in more than 100 countries.
