Pakistan has established a disaster management agency aimed at enhancing the country’s disaster preparedness and mitigation measures, Pakistan’s Daily Times reports. Created under a 2006 law, the National Institute of Disaster Management will serve as a venue for training and research for both the public and private sectors.
