Philanthropic donations to Ukraine reached their peak in June and have been on a steady decline in the months since, according to data from Candid, a philanthropic research organization.
Candid has been collecting data on private donations from corporations, foundations, and others to Ukraine since the country was invaded by Russia last February. So far, it has tracked $1.58 billion in grants and $1.21 billion in pledges.
“About 72% of the contributions announced for Ukraine relief were announced between February and June. And it’s sort of fallen off a cliff since then,” Andrew Grabois, Candid’s corporate philanthropy manager, told Devex.
