Russian President Dmitry Medvedev will seek common ground with the US on the global financial crisis during a Nov. 15 summit in Washington, after saying he’d deploy missiles in Europe to neutralize a US missile shield. Russia’s “main approaches” on how to resolve the crisis “coincide for the most part” with those of the US Arkady Dvorkovich, an economic aide to Medvedev, told reporters in Moscow. “An agreement on the basic principles for solving the problems in the world, and an agreement on collective actions in the next few months, is quite likely.” Medvedev has repeatedly blamed the US for causing the economic crisis.
