On Monday morning, Sevilla’s traffic brought cars to a resounding halt. But despite the gridlock — and temperatures that reached 107 degrees Fahrenheit — thousands of world leaders, private sector heads, and United Nations reps flooded the Spanish city’s streets to talk about one thing: financing for development.
That includes Jesse Chase-Lubitz and Elissa Miolene, your Devex correspondents who will be reporting the news from the Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development — and braving the unimaginable heat — until Thursday of this week.
We’ll also be reporting from Casa Devex, our two-day event on the sidelines of FfD4, where we’ll be joined by a diverse roster of officials and experts (and where a stray pigeon even joined us today, likely to get out of the climbing temperatures and into the air conditioning).
