The U.S. contributed USD12 million to Slovenia’s International Trust Fund for Demining and Mine Victims Assistance, which was established to support mine clearance, mine-risk reduction, and survivor assistance efforts in the Balkan countries. The grant will provide matching grants to other private and public contributions to the fund.
The U.S. started supporting the fund in 1998 and has since contributed more than USD138 million.
