Leaders of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation are expected to launch a regional development fund for socially relevant programs in the region during their meeting in Bhutan April 28-29, Zee News reports. The fund will have a USD300 million capital and will support women empowerment, teachers’ training, and maternal and child health projects, among others, the newspaper says.
