From improved access to health care and educational tools to better access to government information, integrating digital technologies to public services can have important benefits across many areas of development.

“No country should be thinking about technology and innovation as an issue belonging to one sector, it’s a cross-cutting issue, affecting all sectors,” adds Colombia’s former minister of technology Carmen Ligia Valderrama Rojas. “One can’t think of education, nor health care, nor mining, nor culture, nor science if it doesn’t go together with technology and innovation.”
