Sweden is contributing 35 million Swedish kronor (USD5.2 million) to the Cooperation Fund for Fighting HIV/AIDS in Asia and the Pacific, which is managed by the Asian Development Bank.
The fund was established in 2005 to help curb the spread of HIV/AIDS in the region. Sweden’s contribution will be disbursed in three phases through 2012, according to ADB. It adds to the country’s initial USD14.3 million donation to the fund.
