    The World Bank will provide

    in budget support to Tanzania. The loan will boost government funding for infrastructure, basic social services, and financial management and budgetary delivery systems. A further

    World Bank loan will be made available to encourage sustainable management practices in Tanzania's mineral sector. The project will boost the transparency of the mining sector's legal and regulatory framework. It will also help Tanzania execute the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative.
