With the development sector experiencing significant shifts this year, employment in different regions is also expected to feel notable changes, and Central and South Asia is no exception.
Since the USAID’s stop-work order was announced on Jan. 24 this year, Devex data shows there have been 4,227 opportunities. That is a decrease of nearly 24% compared to the 5,560 opportunities in the equivalent period last year.
But despite ongoing policy shifts and trade deals happening in the development scene, many international and local organizations have continued to recruit development professionals in the region.
