The British government will provide an additional GBP148 million (USD221.4 million) to improve health care services in Nigeria. The initiative, according to U.K. International Development Minister Ivan Lewis announced will “help build up health systems by identifying where money should be spent and the services people most need.” The supplementary assistance will provide support to pregnant mothers and immunizations to children, Lewis added.
