UN Security Council Extends Iraq Development Fund

The United Nations Security Council has

until Dec. 2010 the multibillion-dollar development fund it established in 2003 after the U.S.-led offensive against Iraq. The fund aims to provide the basic humanitarian needs of Iraqi residents as well as help reconstruct damaged infrastructure and the country's economy.
