The U.S. agreed to provide $32.8 million to support peace, good governance and health programs in Nepal. U.S. Ambassador James F. Moriarty and Nepal director of the U.S. Agency for International Development Donald B. Clark signed the agreement along with Nepalese finance ministry’s joint secretary Dr. Madhav Prasad Ghimire. The grant is part of the $45 million aid that Washington has set aside for the Asian nation this year. The implementation of the projects will involve the participation of non-governmental organizations, international NGOs, private companies and individuals.
