Nongovernmental organizations working in the health, nutrition, livelihood, education, protection, and water, sanitation and hygiene sectors are invited to submit proposals to fund projects for Tibetan refugees in South Asia.
The U.S. State Department’s Bureau of Population, Refugees and Migration will be accepting proposals until noon of March 14. Priority will be given to NGOs that have:
A working relationship with the U.N. Office of the High Commissioner for Refugees, if proposed project will be based in Nepal.
A proven track record in the sector and location.
Evidence of coordination with local and international organizations, and authorities in the specified location.
A concrete implementation plan with well-defined objectives and measurable indicators.
Identification of sustainable programming opportunities.
A proposed budget that is between $150,000 and $2.5 million.
Targeted beneficiaries identified in coordination with other relevant organizations.
Compliance with international humanitarian assistance standards.
