USAID, Pakistan's Punjab Province Partner for Development

The provincial government of Punjab in Pakistan and the U.S. Agency for International Development have agreed to collaborate in implementing energy, health and education programs for the province as the U.S. aid agency announced its plan to establish an office in the Punjab capital city of Lahore. Pakistan’s Daily Times reports that Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and USAID Pakistan country director Robert J. Wilson agreed on the cooperation during a meeting in Lahore Feb. 23.
