    Some 1,000 elementary schools in Malawi will receive 5 million books and other educational materials through a U.S. Agency for International Development-backed initiative. The

    's College of Education and Human Development will administer the three-year, $13 million cooperative agreement along with the Malawian government. The initiative will also provide training to teachers in the African nation.
