U.S. President Barack Obama has announced his intent to appoint Nisha Desai Biswal as a member of the Congressional-Executive Commission on the People’s Republic of China. Biswal is currently the assistant administrator for Asia at the U.S. Agency for International Development. She will keep her USAID post while serving in this new position, according to the White House.
Desai is one of the 40 under-40 development leaders in Washington, D.C who were honored by Devex in 2010.
