Victoria Wassmer to Lead MCC's Admin and Finance

    By Ivy Mungcal // 25 May 2010

Millennium Challenge Corp. CEO Daniel Yohannes welcomed Victoria Wassmer on May 24 as the latest addition to his top management team. Wassmer, who was most recently the chief financial officer and deputy assistant administrator for financial services at the Federal Aviation Administration, is the agency’s new vice president for administration and finance.

Wassmer’s responsibilities in her new post cover MCC’s financial management, administrative services, information technology, human resources, overseas administration, logistics and travel, security, and procurement. She will also function as the agency’s chief financial officer and principal advisor on funding and financial policies.

With the appointment of Wassmer, the Obama administration has filled five of MCC’s six vice president positions. Sheila Herrling is vice president for policy and international relations, Patrick Fine leads the compact implementation department, while Chuck Cooper is in charge of congressional and public affairs. Melvin Williams Jr. is vice president and general counsel.

MCC’s compact development department is currently led by Acting Vice President Darius Teter.
