Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister Truong Vinh Trong vowed that the government will intensify its campaign to eliminate corruption and ensure proper spending of foreign funding. He spoke before donor representatives at the Informal Mid-term Consultative Group Meeting, where discussions will focus on the the development of the mountainous provinces in the country’s north, aid effectiveness, and climate change, among others. During the opening session, officials reported about the country’s economic gains, including the improved investment environment in Vietnam.
