A USD25 million Asian Development Bank loan will be made available to Vietnam’s poverty alleviation program, which also received parallel funding from the World Bank’s Poverty Reduction Support Credit. The loan will back the country’s policy reforms to “raise the living standards of the Vietnamese people and reduce poverty by fostering environmentally sustainable and socially inclusive economic growth,” Bahodir Ganiev, country economist at ADB’s Vietnam office, said.
