Want to become a tri-sector leader? Master these 3 skills

The advantage of a tri-sector athlete is that it’s someone who can form connections that other people don’t see.

“It’s the connections where interesting things happen,” Anne Florini, professor of public policy at Singapore Management University, told Devex’s Kate Warren.

There is a heavy focus on tri-sector collaboration — or bringing together business, government and civil society actors — to solve development dilemmas. And even if someone doesn’t already have direct work experience across these sectors, success in collaboration is “a personality type a much as it is a set of skills,” Florini explained.
