A World Food Program convoy traveling from Berbera in Somaliland to central Somalia was attacked by armed militia in Tukaraq, a town along the Somaliland-Puntland border. Somalilandpress says one militia member was killed and another was wounded by armed escorts of the aid convoy. No aid workers were reported killed or wounded.

The incident is the second attack on WFP trucks carrying aid from Somaliland for people in Somalia.
