The World Bank has released maps of its activities in 81 countries as part of its Mapping for Results initiative.
The project, supported by the bank and AidData, has so far identified more than 1,250 active World Bank-financed activities in 16,520 locations. These activities are part of more than 2,500 ongoing projects worth more than $160 billion that are financed by the Washington-based lender.
The Mapping for Results initiative is part of the World Bank’s Open Data Initiative that was launched in 2009 and made available to the public more than 2,000 financial, business, health, economic, and human development indicators for more than 200 economies.
