The World Bank has given the go signal for six projects involving the construction of road tunnels in Himachal Pradesh, with four of the projects to be developed in the Indian state’s capital, Shimla. The list of projects includes the 1,705-meter tunnel project on National Highway 21 in Chandigarh Manali, between Kanchimore and Mela. The bank will also give USD339.3 million to convert the state’s 2-lane roads into 4-lane avenues. (Source: World Bank approves 6 road tunnel projects in HP/Steel Guru)
