Poverty alleviation and economic growth are the top priorities of the Yemeni government, according to Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Abdul-Karim al-Arhabi, the Yemen Observer reports. He reaffirmed the state’s efforts in addressing economic challenges, among them the adoption of monitoring and evaluation systems and the establishment of specialized units to assess government performance and progress in meeting the targets of Yemen’s five-year development plan.
