“972 – Advancement of Citizen Journalism” (RA 580546307) was established in 2011 by Israeli and Palestinian journalists and bloggers. The organization’s mission is to expose the public to political, cultural, and social changes in Israel and Palestine, to advance independent digital journalism, and to publish reportage, opinion, and analysis in Hebrew, English, and Arabic.

Since 2011, the organization has operated the English-language news and analysis site +972 Magazine, and since 2014, it has operated the Hebrew-language site Local Call (“Sikha Mekomit”), in cooperation with Just Vision.
