History, Mandate, Objectives
The NGO Adkoul has been created since 2001. Adkoul means in Tamajek (national language of Niger) development, progress, emergence. ADKOUL is an organization that can respond to the problems of poverty and recurrent crises / disasters faced by the Nigerien populations, through targeted priority actions for the most affected communities. But also to bring them to make major sustainable progress in their lives, viable progress without the continued support of the NGO.
Activities / areas of intervention and skills 
Adkoul has experienced multidisciplinary teams who master the terrain and the socio-economic realities of the Nigerien communities. The interventions of the NGO Adkoul in Niger concern the vital areas of community life: food security, WASH, education / literacy, health, environment, peace and protection.
Past experiences in operations at regional and national levels
With 17 years of experience and to his credit several projects and programs implemented in the regions of Tahoua, Agadez, Maradi and Tillabéry, in favor of the beneficiary communities. Adkoul has acquired a great deal of experience in conducting his interventions. These projects and programs were implemented with the support of different technical and financial partners (UNHCR, UNFPA, IRC, IOM, ASB, FAO, Caritas Ireland, CECI, Friends of Adkoul France, Government of Niger, Lutheran World Relief (LWR ), Action Against Hunger (ACF), with different procedures, requirements and approaches, which has allowed Adkoul to enrich its knowledge and skills in terms of organization and management.
Over the last 5 years, in the regions of Tahoua and Agadez, ADKOUL has implemented humanitarian and development projects in the areas of food security / livelihoods, WASH, education, protection, infrastructure socio-economic base for the benefit of approximately 156,329 persons for a budget of CFAF 3,996,299,235 , excluding the costs of certain in-kind assistance such as food and NFI provided directly by our partners for certain operations. emergency.
