What They Do:

Spares and Components:

Overview

With over 40 years of industry experience in supplying aircraft parts for both fixed wing and rotary wing aircraft ASL can supply 350,000 line items from stock – from complete aircraft and engines to consumables and small piece parts; with a further 1m+ components from their supply chain network.

Their international offices enhance the service to their customers and enable them to provide tailored solutions to their everyday critical requirements.

Managing the supply chain efficiently and effectively, ASL selects and works closely with preferred and partnered suppliers and sub-contractors.

To complement their in-house spare parts and components, the consignment of spare parts stock has been established at ASL for more than 40+ years.

Analysis of their customer requests during the last five years has enabled them to objectively purchase surplus stocks and new components that fit the customers stock profiles. This consists of the highest demand components for their aerospace and defence customers.

A single point of contact

ASL has been proactive in establishing the future needs of the market and continued to aggressively pursue a stock availability strategy.

They will continue to follow a strategy of purchasing and locating the ‘impossible to source’ aircraft parts, components, supplies and specialist equipment.

Utilising ASL as a single point of contact in the supply chain for all procurement and spares provisioning helps reduce administrative burdens and financial constraints and provides prompt pricing and availability for many thousands of parts.

With their drive to enhance systems and processes, approval to AS9120 gives their customers piece of mind when purchasing spares and components from ASL.

Logistics and distribution

Utilising their bespoke inventory management system, they ensure your products are packed and despatched, reaching their destinations swiftly and efficiently. With a number of logistics partners, ASL can despatch ‘same-day’ all over the globe to their international customer base.

Repair and Overhaul Services:

An extensive range of capabilities over a multitude of platforms, with repair and overhaul, qualified at all levels. They continue to drive the repair, refurbishment and overhaul for all customer requirements.

ASL’s pursuit in delivering a high standard of support to customers ensures they work with those who deliver excellence in terms of customer service, support and turnaround.

Their partners and suppliers range from maintenance providers to OEMs, such as Honeywell, UK MoD, UTC Aerospace Systems, Rockwell Collins, GE, Eaton and Meggitt, to name a few.

They continue to grow their network of strategic partners to improve the quality and range of services they offer.

Their aim is to grow their business to support future investments and deliver their through-life support promise to their customers.

In building on their strategic partnership they work collaboratively with their partners to be more successful, competitive, cost-effective for a wider and diverse product range and they utilise each other’s skill sets to maximum advantage giving back that value to the customer.

Engineering Services:

A highly skilled service for the maintenance and life extension of high and low value electronic circuits and LRUs. At ASL, they extend the life of electronic systems through repair, refurbishment and re-manufacture solutions.

Their integrated service encompasses materials supply, repair, refurbishment, reconditioning, re-manufacturing, fault finding, confidence testing and software development. They identify components that have degraded or are at risk of becoming obsolete, replacing them with exact or direct equivalents.

With the ever depleting stocks and degradation within wiring systems and control equipment, ASL has the proven skills to replicate, refurbish and develop test and control functionality.

Contractual Support:

Their customers receive a seamless, uninterrupted stream of product and service, both into and out of the existing inventory.

As inventory is often the largest item in their customers’ current assets category, efficient inventory management is crucial for the smooth running of your business.\

Obsolescence Managenebt:

Obsolescence is the diminishing of manufacturing sources and materials availability. Obsolescence management is the need to understand why this has happened and then to plan and mitigate for these instances in the future.

Product and component obsolescence removes the opportunity to fulfil original investment and return on availability and is a major cost driver in today’s maintenance and support environments, impacting on equipment at every phase during the procurement process. It is widely understood that increased downtime is due to part shortages and decreased reliability – an alternative solution is demanded.

With a structured strategy and responsible partner it is possible to mitigate most risks. Their approach is to promote and recognise high standards of practice and professional competence in repair, overhaul and re-manufacture.
