African Initiatives is a women’s rights charity based in Bristol, supporting sustainable initiatives, identified and implemented by Africans.
Over the last two decades African Initiatives has developed a specialism in working with Maasai communities in northern Tanzania.
African Initiatives works through partnerships with grass-roots organisations in Tanzania and Ghana, to give people a voice so they can fight for their rights. African Initiatives educate and encourage people to pass on knowledge and work together to improve their rights. African Initiatives empowers individuals and communities with the ability to lift themselves out of poverty and bring about change. Together with partner organizations, African Initiatives strives to find sustainable solutions, through collaboration and respect.
