Mr. Director General, during the Council of Ministers on July 10, the High Commission for NTICs was set up as a National Agency for the Information Society (ANSI). Can you give us the reasons for this reorientation in the field of NICTs in Niger?
Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) are playing an increasingly important role in socio-economic life, and particularly in developing countries like Niger. In addition, they prove to be a transversal tool that affects all strata of their society.
A deep analysis of the development challenges facing their country, reveals that ICT is an essential component in achieving their sustainable development goals.
In view of all these elements, the President of the Republic considered that Niger should be resolutely engaged in the digital revolution, which is hitting us hard. The Head of State would like us to use this revolution to modernize their economy, strengthen their growth, strengthen their security, improve governance, and strengthen priority programs and sectors such as 3N, Health, Education and youth entrepreneurship.
