The AMCHAM Foundation, Inc. began as a committee of the American Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines in 1985 to undertake youth development and disaster response programs. It was registered with the SEC in 1992. It is an operating and grant-making foundation. Its main office is located at Makati. The foundation has a regular staff of 8 and 11 members of the Board of Trustees. Its purposes, among others, are to be the recognized leader in corporate citizenship for US businesses in the Philippines. It also serves as the socio-civic arm of the American Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines in promoting good corporate citizenship among its members. The foundation’s programs are now focused on Education and Corporate Social Responsibility undertakings. Its sources of income include donations and their endowment fund.
The AmCham Foundation has a counterpart established in the U.S. in 1987 with 501 (c) (3) status to ensure tax deductibility for donors in the U.S. AmCham Foundation is licensed to operate community-based programs by the Philippines’ Department of Social Welfare and Development and accredited by the Philippine Council for NGO Certification (PCNC) as a donor institution.
VISION
The AmCham Foundation serves as a catalyst in encouraging American Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines, Inc. member companies to institutionalize their CSR activities and/or to use their CSR activities to support their corporate strategies.
MISSION
The AmCham Foundation serves as the socio-civic arm of the American Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines member companies.

• Promote the idea that good CSR work and community development is good business policy and provide recognition for CSR best practices of member companies
• Provide ACCP member companies a forum to showcase their best CSR activities and community development
• Collaborate with ACCP member companies in developing, promoting, and administering some of their CSR programs when necessary
• Modernize our operations through the use of new technology (on line donation, SMS, computerization of data, etc.)
• Provide member companies and their employees the benefit of working with ACFPI whenever possible (volunteers for education)
