The Amsterdam Institute for Global Health and Development (AIGHD) is a dynamic network focused on research, education and the improvement of health care delivery, especially in resource-poor settings. They take a problem-oriented approach which transcends the boundaries of traditional academic disciplines.
They are a collaboration between biomedical researchers from the Academic Medical Center, social scientists and economists from the University of Amsterdam (UvA) and from the VU University Amsterdam (VU).
To make their vision of Access to high quality health care for all a reality, they pioneer innovative and bold approaches to tackle important issues, and measure the impact of such interventions across the globe.
