ARP is represented in six European countries: Belgium, Germany, France, the Netherlands, Austria and of course Switzerland, where it was founded more than 25 years ago. They focus on serving mid-size companies as well as public-sector customers, offering a comprehensive portfolio of IT hardware, software and services. They also sell premium, state-of-the-art products under their own ARP Brand. Their expertise spans everything from client and enterprise mobility, printing and security to lean procurement through their e-procurement solution.
They aim to simplify and improve the performance of their clients' everyday IT. To do this, they offer a broad range of products and diverse services, along with technological expertise. They’re able to access a vast trove of skill and knowledge through their tight-knit partner network as well as their parent company, Bechtle AG. So their clients can count on them as their single, international source for IT.
ARP has been there every step of the way, reinventing itself regularly to keep pace with the changing times. ARP was originally founded as a division of ARP AG, a Swiss industrial supplier. Just two years later, it broke off to become an independent company, ARP Datacon AG, and has forged full-steam ahead ever since. That same year, ARP Datacon AG opened its first office in Germany. It would go on to add four more subsidiaries in Austria, the Netherlands, France and Belgium, as well as its own purchasing company in Taiwan. ARP became part of the Bechtle Group in 2004, joining forces with a powerful network of companies whose services cover large parts of Europe and the world.
