The Association They Exist-Women Incarcerated is a non-profit organization that is manifestly an intersectional feminist, anti-punitivist, criminal abolitionist and aims to act on behalf of the women who make up the penitentiary system and the adolescents of the socio-educational system of Rio de Janeiro.

Our main focus of attention are: pregnant women, women who have recently given birth and lactating women in deprivation of liberty; provisional prisoners; arrested transsexual women; ingress and egress from the prison system; women deprived of liberty assisted by legal-asylum units; adolescents in deprivation of liberty; foreign women in deprivation of liberty and black women and their relationship with prison.
