Legal Aid Puerto Rico is a non-profit corporation whose purpose is to provide free and accessible legal education and support to low- and medium-income individuals and communities. We have five lines of work: (1) promote collaboration between entities of the community of access to justice, organizations and communities; (2) provide free and accessible legal education; (3) train legal representatives and students; (4) provide legal support and (5) exercise and facilitate community advocacy efforts.
Through education and community legal work they promote that people, groups and communities know and develop the necessary capacities to claim their rights.
Legal Aid Puerto Rico promotes access to justice and the defense of fundamental rights through legal education, the development of civic skills, and legal support for low- and moderate-income individuals and communities.
