BEA International registered in Kenya in February 2002 as a trust, non-partisan, not for profit and has national, regional and international focus on innovative processes and products achieved through improved environmental performance. In February 2011, the organization transformed into an incorporated private entity limited by shares with the view of participating in payment for environmental and ecological services, environmental products and technologies, climate change and carbon market business both as project developer and promoter of climate change research and technology transfer and deployment in part of capacity development in Africa.
BEA emphasizes capacity building and promoting investment initiatives within the context of climate change and development.
Also addresses issues that contribute to adaptation and mitigation of environmental degradation and climate change and the associated value chains of generating carbon offsets from energy, industry, oil production and refining, gas flaring and venting, agriculture, land use and forestry projects. The underlying themes of the program are capacity building for the design of projects, policy and regulatory framework, and investment approaches that are compatible with environmental management.
