About

A meeting of entrepreneurs in the PV segment around a common theme, Distributed Generation with Renewable Sources, culminated in a meeting and later a formal assembly where they concluded that there was a need for an entity that could add value and meet the political, technical and regulatory demands that the sector needs. Thus, on September 28, 2015, twenty entrepreneurs met in São Paulo and founded ABGD - Associação Brasileira de Geração Distribuída; a private, non-profit legal entity that brings together solution providers, EPC's, integrators, distributors, manufacturers, companies of different sizes and segments, as well as professionals and academics in the sector, who have direct or indirect action in common in distributed generation from renewable sources.

ABGD is willing to represent and defend the interests of its members with government bodies, professional associations, regulatory bodies, industry players, and more than that, work towards the inclusion of different sectors of society, to actively benefit from Distributed Generation, incorporating the concepts of sustainability, financial return, legal security, energy efficiency and cost predictability, in terms of generation and energy consumption in the same location.
