About

The British Asian Trust supports the development of a South Asia that is free from inequality and injustice.

They were founded in 2007 by HRH The Prince of Wales and a group of visionary British Asian business leaders and they back sustainable solutions that enable people to truly unlock their potential, more than three million people already.

By enabling their supporters to turn their values into action, they transform lives. Together they will support a South Asia that is better for all.

Through cause-focussed funds they bring together core investments and key stakeholders. This brings greater impact for both disadvantaged communities and donors. APPROACH

The sheer scale of the challenge demands a holistic approach. Their aim is to achieve greater impact on disadvantaged communities by working with those passionate about supporting people in South Asia.

Research

Through research they identify the most urgent issues, together with innovative, high-impact, scalable solutions. They provide thought leadership and help supporters see where they can have the most impact.

Convene

They galvanise multiple stakeholders to form powerful alliances, bringing together vital funds, skills and influence. By mobilising collective action, they ensure the whole solution is greater than the sum of its parts.

Amplify

They spotlight uncomfortable and taboo issues. They amplify the voices of the most marginalised and vulnerable people to inspire high impact action.
