Local development company
City in strong demographic growth and in constant activity, Casablanca lives with the frantic pace of great mutations.
In order to support the sustainable development of this first Moroccan metropolis, Casa Transport en Site Aménagé SA was created in 2009. To meet this challenge, in partnership with public authorities and private operators, Casablanca City has implemented a proactive strategy.
It has chosen to favor efficient performance tools that serve the general interest proposed by the Local Development Companies (SDL), of which 34% of the capital is held by local authorities.
Casa Transports SA is an SDL with state shareholders (Ministries of the Interior and Finance), local authorities (Region, Prefecture and Urban Commune of Casablanca) and major institutions (Fonds HASSAN II, CDG, BCP and ONCF).
The company has thus been appointed project owner for the realization of Casablanca's first Tramway line. As part of the recommendations of the Urban Travel Plan (PDU) of Casablanca, it was also entrusted with a set of structuring and decisive projects for the benefit of the development of the city, increasing its attractiveness and its competitiveness both nationally than internationally.
Following the successful completion of the first T1 Tramway project, the government decided to accelerate the implementation of all the PDU recommendations and as a result, Casa Transport SA is today the tool of the city authorities to achieve this major objective for the development of the first metropolis of Morocco.
In this context, mobility being an integral part of the new development plan of Grand Casablanca unveiled in September 2014, it was proceeded to the signing of a financing agreement for an amount of 16 billion dirhams, intended for the realization of the complement of the public transport network in its own site by 2015 - 2020.
