About

CENTER FOR HEALTH PROGRESS HAS BEEN HARD AT WORK SINCE 1997.

Center for Health Progress, formerly known as the Colorado Coalition for the Medically Underserved, was founded in 1997 as part of the Colorado Medical Society. In 2017, they changed their name to better reflect their mission and commitment to action and collaboration; however, their core values remain the same. Since their founding, Center for Health Progress has been a home for those who are passionate about and dedicated to creating justice and equity in our health care system.

At Center for Health Progress, they believe their health care system should work for all Coloradans. So, they bring people together to ensure factors like race, income, and ZIP code don't determine a person's access to care and opportunity to live a healthy life. When they uncover commonsense solutions to these complex challenges, they get closer to ensuring their health care system works for everyone. Because when their neighbors are healthy, their communities prosper, and Colorado is stronger.
