Centre of Dialogue on Human Settlement and Poverty Alleviation (CODOHSAPA) is a non-profit and non-governmental organization established in 2011, which emerged from the YMCA Slum Livelihood Project implemented from 2007-2011. Codohsapa works to mobilize and provide both technical and financial support to its community counterpart, counterpart, Federation of Urban and Rural Poor (Fedurp) for the empowerment and transformation of communities.
 
Codohsapa and Fedurp are part of Slum/Shack Dwellers International (SDI) network which is a loose transnational network of NGOs and federations of slum/shack dwellers that coordinates and support both local and global actions that promotes and improve on the welfare and living conditions of slum/shack dwellers and other deprived persons and localities. This alliance creates a synergy of professional and community knowledge and resources, and a platform for consultations with local and state actors and other players in order to stimulate decisions and actions for the adoption of pro-poor policies and practices for community planning and development.
