ChildFund Alliance is a worldwide group of 12 child-centred development organisations working in 58 countries to implement long-lasting and meaningful changes for children and families living in poverty.
ChildFund Alliance's members are not-for-profit organisations which work directly with children, families and their communities. The Alliance seeks to speak with one global voice for, with and on behalf of children.
The vision is a world in which children realise their rights and achieve their potential. ChildFund Alliance spends more than US$ 0.5 billion a year in achieving its mission and has established sustainable, self-financing and highly successful national partner organisations in developing and middle income countries. We have a worldwide support base and proven track record in delivering quality programs for the benefit of more than 15 million children and their families, raising funds to support our work.
History
In 2002, a group of 11 child-centered international development organizations joined together under the banner of ChildFund Alliance to become a global force for children. The Alliance creates opportunities for joint initiatives serving children and families in need. It improves the effectiveness of programs for children, increases efficiency and extends the reach and influence of the members by enhancing their individual and collective strengths. The Alliance builds on more than 75 years of its members’ experience in working to improve the lives of children, families and communities.
