CFSI brings together 21 organizations acting for international solidarity. CFSI members unite to face together and with their Southern partners the challenges of the future:
- Social Justice for reducing poverty and growing inequalities;
- The economy at the service of man and not the reverse;
- Equitable sharing and sustainable management of natural resources of the planet.
Convinced of the leading role of civil society organizations, CFSI supports projectsled by associations partners of its members in different countries. It is these local organizations are finding ways to influence policy and improve the situation of the poorest. CFSI offers their partnerships and support to organize, enhance their skills, gain independence and be agents of their own development.
In 2015, CFSI has supported hundreds of projects , mainly in Africa. They are aimed primarily the development of food crops for the fight against hunger, the economic integration of young generations through suitable vocational training and strengthening local organizations.
Complementing its international commitment, CFSI echoes the concerns of local stakeholders and partner organizations in the South by leading every year in France and Europe, the campaign ALIMEN TERRE to sensitize public opinion and politicians to causes of hunger and ways to combat it. The highlight of the campaign is the general public ALIMEN film festival TERRE between October 15 and November 30 each year.
