About

Coordination SUD is the national coordination of French NGOs of international solidarity. Founded in 1994, it now brings together 164 French NGOs working in international solidarity. A hundred are members through six groups: CLONG-Volunteer , Cnajep, Humanitarian Coordination and Development , Crid , Forim , Groupe Initiatives. Member NGOs carry out emergency relief, development assistance, environmental protection, human rights advocacy for disadvantaged populations, as well as citizenship education and advocacy.

Coordination SUD leads thematic working committees, made up of its members and partners. These commissions are mobilized on major issues of international solidarity. It manages a joint fund co-financing external expertise on different aspects of organizational and institutional performance for NGOs.

Missions at the service of French NGOs

Coordination SUD ensures a quadruple mission:

  1. Promotion and defense of the sector,
  2. Strengthening the professionalisation of organizations through counseling and training
  3. Advocacy on international solidarity with public and private institutions, in France, in Europe and in the world,
  4. Monitoring and analysis services, and information dissemination.
