CTIS Digital is a Brazilian retail chain organization with emphasis in computer products. Stores are located in many Brazilian states as Distrito Federal, Goiás, Minas Gerais, São Paulo and RIo de Janeiro. The IT Services division is in charge of outsourcing projects and the Printing Center handles projects for document printing and posting.

History

Founded in 1983, CTIS offered IT services and started its career in a room with a 27 m² area and four employees: two partners, an office boy and a secretary. In 1986, he founded CTIS Varejo, occupying 120m², reselling computer products in the traditional over-the-counter model. In 1991, CTIS became the first printing company to make continuous forms for computers competing with multinational companies.

The big step forward was in 1998, when the first three companies put their experiences together and covered the services, retail and printing centers. This change guaranteed substantial management gains through the rationalization of its human resources and infrastructure, guaranteeing the vertical growth of 4,150% in the Company's revenues from 1997 to 2009.

In March 2014, Chilean IT services and systems integration company Sonda acquired CTIS becoming the largest IT company in Latin America. The purchase involved the entire technology solutions development area, responsible for 90% of the company. The company's retail stores were not included in the deal, which lasted approximately 8 months.
The acquisition of CTIS is the first of the Sonda's $ 700 million investment plan for the 2013-2015 triennium. Of this amount, only US $ 500 million is earmarked for new acquisitions. The transaction was closed at R $ 400 million and could increase by R $ 85 million depending on the results presented by CTIS in the period from 2014 to 2018, remembering that the year 2014 was closed with a turnover of 1,001Bi.
