DBE TECHNOLOGY GmbH was founded in 2000. The company offers customers a wide range of management, scientific, and technical services. DBE TECHNOLOGY was set up with the objective of concentrating and developing further the extensive know-how of its parent company, DBE, in an independent unit and making this expertise available to customers in domestic and foreign markets. DBE, the German Service Company for the Construction and Operation of Waste Repositories, a privately owned corporation, has been the prime contractor for planning, exploration, construction, and operation of the federal radioactive waste repositories since more than 20 years. Its tasks cover all engineering and operational aspects of repository development and include the entrepreneurial handling of three major projects. In its work, DBE resorts to the latest scientific and technical know-how in geosciences, mining and nuclear technology, and from a variety of fields of advanced engineering.

DBE TECHNOLOGY GmbH is pleased to make its scientific, technical, and management potential available to public and private customers at home and abroad. The hitherto assignments include tunnel construction, disposal of hazardous waste, reclamation of mining facilities and contaminated sites, decommissioning of nuclear facilities, as well as management and disposal of radioactive waste in Germany, Eastern and Western Europe, and Japan. For these tasks, DBE TECHNOLOGY GmbH relies on its own and on DBE's staff with more than 100 highly qualified, experienced professionals.

Nuclear Waste Disposal –  DBE Technology GmbH has detailed knowledge and many years of experience in all aspects of waste management and disposal. The background includes the planning and operation of all German repositories as well as the successful performance of engineering and consulting assignments for national and international clients from Western and Eastern Europe, America, and Asia. 

Geotechnics - The staff has long, proven experience in planning site survey and in exploring final repository sites. To address specific tasks, DBE Technology GmbH concentrates on geoscientific know-how in interdisciplinary teams, which include geologists, hydro-geologists, geophysicists, geochemists and mining engineers. With them, DBE Technology GmbH provides a variety of services for geological and geotechnical site exploration and characterization from the surface and underground.

Mining Technologies - Many years of experience in planning services for site-specific exploration on the surface and underground and for the planning and construction of mining facilities including their operation and closure, enable us to offer various mine planning services at any stage of a mine's life cycle.

Engineering and Management Services - DBE Technology GmbH offers manufacturer-independent individual solutions for handling hazardous substances and for all technical fields of underground waste disposal. The engineering support covers all steps of project realization, from problem analysis and concept development through detailed design, manufacturing, quality control, and commissioning, in compliance with all relevant regulations.
