Delivering Procurement Services for Aid (DPSA) is a service led by AECOM which brings together expertise in procurement, logistics, supply chain, international development, risk and project management.. AECOM is the sole holder of the global goods and equipment framework for the UK Government’s Department for International Development (DFID).
DPSA works with donors, governments, NGOs and programme implementing partners. We specialise in handling complex, multi-category supply chain projects, from sourcing goods and equipment through to last-mile logistics, to sustain clients in their delivery of aid and development programmes.
DPSA operates across a range of sectors including pharmaceuticals, renewable energy, education, resilience, agriculture and WASH. DPSA also provides supply chain and procurement-related technical advice, audit and assistance services. Our experience includes:
1. Medical supplies, solar infrastructure and education goods across a range of programmes in Nigeria;
2. Sourcing and procuring more than 1,000 microfeeders for improving nutrition in Pakistan;
3. Distribution of 1,500 tonnes of healthcare products to 1,244 locations across Sierra Leone;
4. Technical assessment which identified £10 million in cost efficiencies against client product specifications in Nigeria, without compromising quality.
DPSA aims to help aid go further by taking a strategic approach to supply chain requirements – not only understanding what goods and equipment are needed to meet programme goals, but also why they are important and in what context they will be used. In so doing, we can ensure that we can give our clients the best-value and appropriate solutions.
