Development & Cooperation in Central Asia (DCCA)
DCCA provides trainings to smaller and less experienced NGO’s in establishment and consolidation of self-help-groups (SHG), lobbying & advocacy, micro credits, income generating activities, etc. DCCA is increasingly involved in the south of Kyrgyzstan working with different ethnic groups.
Capacity-building and the strengthening of non-governmental, religious and public organizations (civil society organizations) for sustainable development and the empowerment of the marginalised layers of population in Central Asia.
Empowerment of the aggrieved layers of population in Central Asia through non-governmental sector by mobilizing civil society resources.
To achieve this DCCA intends to create a number of NGOs that will mobilize resources and efforts of civil society in solving their social problems. It is presumed that target NGOs will work on the basis of community development approach.
GOALS AND OBJECTIVES
In order to achieve our mission and promote steps to realizing our vision, DCCA set the following goals and objectives for coming years:
To build the capacity of NGOs, public organizations that work with unfortunate people. To promote sustainable development and empowerment of the NGO sector in Central Asia.
To provide functional liaison for ecumenical partners with Central Asian organizations and institutions.
To continuously improve the quality of DCCA services in Central Asia with consideration of NGO sector’s needs, according to the established work of the office, and by upgrading qualifications of staff.
Realization of projects on social mobilization of population in emergency situations
Increasing awareness and knowledge of population about fundamentals and causes of national and ethnic conflicts, and about other new threats
Research activity (sociological surveys, studies of public opinion, monitoring, marketing researches), preparation, publication and distribution of research results, including in mass media.
Conducting public and informational campaigns and actions for achievement of project goals (distribution of leaflets, organization of public actions, collection of signatures, etc.).
Publication and distribution of analytical and project activity results (in the form of books, magazines, bulletins, leaflets, audio and video materials, e- records)
Receipt and distribution of news materials (articles, commentaries, analytical materials, files, selections, press-releases, digests, photo materials) and other information (through Internet, direct transmission on the web-site), through reprinting at local and regional mass media, through subscription, on the radio and television);
Creation of network of correspondents in Central Asia countries (Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan) for covering public, political, economic and other events;
Creation of a website of information agency, with the registration of foreign or local domain name (net, .com, .org, .info). It will be possible to provide paid informational services (advertisement, paid subscription, informational support);
Participation in tenders of government bodies and local administrations on provision of goods, works and services, if such activity corresponds to the realization of Fund project goals, and also participation in tenders and contests for non commercial activity;
Provision of consultative services, conference services (logistics and organizational support of different actions), translation services;See more
